Went with Shine a Blind because it had positive reviews, so I was looking forward to working with them. Garrett came... over, did the measure, we talked about the process and he was on his way. Even though Shine a blind was pricier, I liked that Garrett said he had installation experience, so he knew the processes.Garrett was very quick to send his estimate. Unfortunately, not as conscientious on customer follow-up with the questions I had. After several days of not hearing from him, I made appointments with other Blinds suppliers.11 days later, Garrett followed up when he learned we made a decision to go with someone who had both experience, and better customer service.Aside from that, he had broke a hand-made vase which was a wedding gift from Hawaii.He did offer $200 discount on his estimate to replace our wedding gift.But, again his lack of follow-up cost him the sale.Garrett finally called and asked about his competition's bid, and I told him it was a bit lower, but if he couldn't find the time to respond to my questions/email, I was concerned I would have issues if I chose Shine a Blind to handle my sale. Garrett's lack of "follow-up" does not speak well to how Shine-a-Blind customers are treated.That makes me nervous! We are still waiting to see how he will resolve the broken vase.read more

The people who work here are incredibly nice and conscientious. Great customer service experience (which is lacking in... so many places these days). We have used them multiple times to re-string cellular shades. They are very quick in their turn around time too. The other day one of my cats chewed through the cord on my daughter's window shade, which Shine A Blind had recently restrung for other reasons. Not only did they do the repair for free under their store warranty (which I'm guessing was more of a kindness than a true warranty scenario), they got it done within just a few hours so my daughter wouldn't have to go a single night without a way to block out the light. This is the kind of place you can be glad you gave your business. Please do.read more

We had an issue with our motorized Hunter Douglas shades. One of the cords broke and there were a number of issues with... the stop limits and motors. I had brought it into "Shine A Blind" to get the issue assessed and repaired. From the get-go, they were communicative and responsive. They really know their stuff, were able to provide us with options, transparent and fair with their pricing. We got our blinds back and they reinstalled them with minimum fuss within a week or so. Extremely happy with their quality of service and will be the first number we'll call for our future window covering needs.read more

I brought a blind in for what I thought would be a major repair and was VERY pleased with the customer service,... workmanship and expediency of the repair. I was amazed that not only did they analyze the problem on the spot, but they also saved me money because the repair would only be minor; in fact, they even took the time to repair my blind that same day (even though they had a full schedule of repairs ahead). The installation was great. Went pretty smooth. We have decided to get new windows before installing more blinds so... called and asked if they could help with taking down so window install could be done. I interviewed four different companies for my blinds. Although, they were not the least expensive they were below two... of the competitors. The standout was in their professionalism, customer service, and overall selection. The installation went smoothly and the staff was excellent at communicating with me throughout the process. These guys are amazing. I brought in two cordless roman shades that needed to be repaired and they were so helpful. One... of the shades wasn't salvageable (product was an offbrand from China and parts weren't available) but they were able to simply fix the other one in a few minutes because the cord was stuck to a spring.Highly HIGHLY recommend for their honesty and eagerness to help. Jordon did a great job in fully explaining the process as well as what to expect (after 10 years, the coating on the... blinds starts to deteriorate...and ours are 28 years old) but the cleaning went smoothly (for all 26 blinds) and Jordon was able to partially restring one blind as well. Not a perfect 5 star for our service done at our property, as our original appointment was cancelled 10 minutes before... the scheduled time. Please give more advance notice next time if cancellation has to happen.Otherwise, Eric and Raul came out and did a wonderful job repairing our blinds. Excellent service. I only needed one blind cleaned and was able to drop it by since it was local. Instead of paying... $200+ to replace the blind, I got it cleaned for only $19 and they did a good job too. Highly recommended!read more
